Temporary Construction Barrier – Addition of APE Composite Barrier, Concrete Reactive Tension System and Defender Minimum Deflection System

Two new MTOD’s for APE Composite TCB: 911.580, 911.581.

One new MTOD for Concrete Reactive Tension System: 911.640

Two new MTOD’s for Defender Minimum Deflection System: 911.542, 911.543

Update of OPSS.PROV 741 to introduce the above systems as Category III, III and IV TCBs respectively. Also introduces composite TCB category to complement concrete and steel types. Introduces allowable damage parameters for composite barriers.

Correction of Type I listing in Table 2 for Type H concrete TCB to Type II to reflect actual crash test outcome is also included in the OPSS.PROV 741 update.

An administrative update to CAIS 741 is included to reflect the November 2024 date of the updated OPSS.PROV 741 for information purposes only”
