The approach slab structural standards drawings have been updated to meet CSA-S6-19 provisions & for 500W grade of reinforcing steel. The drawings are renumbered to be consistent with MTO’s Structural Manual. A new Structural Standard Drawing has also been created for the approach slab with the sleeper slab.

Examples include minimum application temperatures, air compressor requirement, relative humidity requirement, glass bead rate for durables, recessing equipment and allowing grinding on final course HMA for durables removal.
