The Hercules and Hercules 12 energy attenuator systems manufactured by SMA Road Safety meet crash test level 3 (TL-3) in accordance with the AASHTO Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) requirements. Both systems are fully redirected and non-gating systems. The Hercules 12 can be anchored to asphalt on temporary installations.
