Decision details

The ministry received valuable comments from the stakeholders. The comments have been reviewed and addressed for the most part. A few items were not related to the changes identified and will require further consideration before changes can be made. The RFQ templates will also be revised to reflect the applicable changes made in the RFP templates.

Please note that due to technical IT issues on the Technical Consultation Portal at the time of last posting, some comments provided through file attachments larger than 1MB were not received by the comment moderator. The issue has now been rectified on new postings to the portal. As a result, the posting (TCP Number 000-0053) is now being re-opened for comments. We encourage you to re-submit your comments if you previously included a large file attachment. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

 

For the CA RFP, the major changes include:

  • Updated the WBCMS language
  • Updated changes resulted from MTO Transformation, such as office names and staff positions
  • All “CAITM” references refer to the “CAIS”, when applicable.
  • Added ‘’Senior Structural Inspector” staff member requirements
  • The following Specialist Services staff member requirements have been moved to Engineering
  • Services assignments:
    • Foundations
    • Structural
  • The following Specialist Service staff member requirements has been removed:
    • Electrical
  • Deleted reference to California Profilograph for measurement of concrete pavement smoothness
  • Changed Sample Delivery and Storage from at MERO to at EMO. Also updated EMO delivery address

For the Engineering RFP, the major changes include:

  • Updated environmental related language
  • Reformatted the tables in Sections 1.6.1 and 1.6.2
  • Added Rockfall Engineering in the tables in Sections 1.6.1 and 1.6.2
  • Made Reproduction Services table in Section 4.3.3 editable
  • Updated changes resulted from MTO Transformation, such as office names and staff positions
  • Updated Section 7.17 Rock Engineering
  • Added Structural and Foundation Specialists languages
