The Buy Ontario Act officially came into effect on December 11, 2025, and the Buy Ontario Procurement Directive, including the Capital Infrastructure component, will take effect for all new capital infrastructure improvements on April 13, 2026.
Corrections to typographical errors have been made with respect to Anti-Stripping Treatment (AST) and Asphalt Cement Anti-Stripping Treatment (AST-AC), as applicable in OPSS 1151, SSP 11F06, and CAIS 1151-01. In CAIS 1151-00, WBCMS has been replaced with CMS. The corrections do not constitute any technical changes to the specification.
OPSS PROV 441 has been updated as per drainage specifications updating schedule and is ready for external stakeholders’ consultation prior to publishing the updated version of the specification.

NSP DB 1350 Material Specification for Concrete – Materials and Production has been updated for consistency with newly published OPSS.PROV 1350 (April 2025), to update payment adjustment $ values to reflect inflation and to add taking of RCP referee cores at the time acceptance cores are taken. The proposed changes clarify the intent, making requirements clear to bidders:

A minor change was made to the definition of Temporary Traffic Control Signs to avoid confusion over the word “supply.”

The title of the Item will be changed to Temporary Traffic Control Staging.
o
The work under the Item was specified to include only traffic control that persists longer than 24-hours, leaving shorter term traffic control to be paid under the associated Items.
