Decision details
SP109S24 has been updated & consulted on TCP. The update included the modification to crack repair criteria and revisions to the description of “Stress immediately prior to transfer”. As a result of feedback received from industry further changes have been made as mentioned in the next section.
Effects of consultation
The use of frictionless devices is recognized to account zero friction loss when used in prestressing of drapped strands. Limit of repairable crack width is added as 0.3mm.

- SP has been updated to include repair criteria for cracks having width greater than 0.2mm.
2. Stress immediately prior to transfer’ has been defined in accordance with S6-19 to make it clear that Short-term losses including relaxation will now be the responsibility of the precaster to calculate as they have control over these losses.
