Proposal details

This provincial non-standard special provision will replace and update the regional non-standard special provision currently in use. The updates include requiring that 50 mm of the adjacent lane be heated in addition to the longitudinal joint, standardizing the acceptable temperature to a range instead of a designer fill-in, requiring deficient material to be removed and replaced or assessed a payment reduction, and providing direction in the event the infrared joint heater breaks down during paving.
