Exception summary

Installation drawings for chevron signs at roadway curves and gore hazard signs at freeway interchanges.

Why consultation isn't required

A formal consultation took place in August 2021 before implementation of the TCP.

Exception details

The new drawing provides specific horizontal and vertical offsets from the roadway for Wa‐9 chevron alignment signs and vertical offsets for Wa‐33 Object Marker signs at freeway gore locations. Sign support requirements are also provided. The MTOD complements guidance in the Ontario Traffic Manual and will result in more consistent installations of these signs.
