Proposal summary

Updated edition of the MTO Roadside Design Manual.

Proposal details

Major updates include revision of clear zone calculation methodology to a relative-risk approach for design
speeds 90 km/h and higher; median barrier selection methodology; new field evaluiation procedures for high
tension cable, SBEATs and crash cushions; and addition of new roadside hardware. Full list of updates is
detailed in the Record of Revisions.
Due to file size limitations, the manual has been split into 8 PDF documents
