Decision details
The first comment contained several points addressing the new drawings and updated OPSS.PROV 741. Minor errors were identified for correction in the final documents and a number of clarifications were provided to questions as part of this comment. The second comment addressed an incorrect barrier shape shown on the installation drawing which will be corrected in the final published version. The third, fourth and seventh comments sought clarification on the crash testing of the new barriers. All crash testing was carried out according to MASH and was satisfactory to MTO in ensuring that the hardware will perform in a manner that protects public safety. The fifth and sixth comments sought clarification which was provided in the comments and responses, in addition to identifying minor errors in the drawings which will be corrected in the final published versions.

Public comments were received and responded to. Minor drawing and spedification corrections were made as a result of the consultation.

Proposal details
Four new MTOD’s: 911.145, 911.146, 911.147 and 911.148 for the Type H Temporary Concrete Barrier Two new MTOD’s: 911.630 and 911.631 for the Tall42 Movable Temporary Concrete Barrier Update of OPSS.PROV 741 to introduce both systems as Category I and Category II TCB respectively. Introduction of a list of allowable Movable TCB’s in the OPSS as well.
