Proposal details
The Ministry of Transportation made the following revisions to the Qualification Procedures for Contractors:
• Merged the Qualification Procedures for Contractors and its Supplement for Area Maintenance (AM) Classification of Work into one easy-to-read document;
• Changed references from “Her Majesty the Queen” to “His Majesty the King” throughout the document;
• Clarified the purpose of various annual Quality Management System (QMS) attestation forms;
• Provided transparency about the policy dealing with requests for extension of time to renew the rating;
• Clarified the treatment of long-term portion of unsecured liabilities to related parties; and
• Enhanced definitions for “Combined Financial Statements”, “Consolidated Financial Statements”, “Common Ownership”, “Available Maximum Workload Rating”, “Qualified Contract” and “Nonqualified Contract” to simplify and clarify the meaning of these terms.
These revisions do not introduce any new policy to the prequalification process for contractors
