Proposal details
The proposed Dispute Resolution language applies to Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, and Retainer templates for both Contract Administration and Design Engineering assignments. The major changes include:
- Removed dispute resolution process that is no longer common practice
- Separated the “Issue” phase from “Dispute” phase
- Inclusion of a written Dispute Notice and notifications
- Update of Dispute Resolution process and Negotiation Levels
- Change from Daily Work Records to Work Records

Reduced the remedy period following the notice of default from 10 Business Days to 5 Business Days RFP templates have been attached. Changes to RFQ templates are similar. The Ministry of Transportation is seeking comments on the proposed changes to the Legal Terms and Conditions.
