Proposal summary

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has awarded the new Contract Management System (CMS) to replace our current Web-Based Contract Management Service (WBCMS). We are looking to our current users to provide input and expertise, to ensure the delivery of a quality system that enhances the end-user experience and aligns with MTO business needs.

Proposal details

We are reaching out to our valued construction and contract administration Service Providers (SPs) to participate in discovery sessions to provide input to assist in the delivery of a quality system that meets both MTO business and user needs. We recognize that both our internal users and external users have gained valuable experience and insight using the current system (WBCMS) that we wish to leverage so that we can improve the user experience in the new CMS. For example, helping us to identify business processes that can be improved/modified or User Interface (UI) enhancements.

The CMS is scheduled to Go-Live in February of 2023. Over the next 13 months MTO will be working with the Vendor to implement the new system. During this time, we will be looking for opportunities to implement as much out-of-the-box functionality of the new solution as possible while aligning system functionality with MTO user needs and business processes.

The ideal participant will be a team player, with good communication skills and technical aptitude and would preferably have extensive experience in the role of CA, inspector or contractor, using the current WBCMS solution.

Your participation in this initiative would be voluntary, and you can choose the level of time commitment that best fits your schedule. Meetings and workshops will be held virtually so geography will not be a limiting factor to you or your employee’s participation. We are hoping to engage approximately 20 – 30 internal and external users to participate throughout the process. We appreciate all volunteers however depending on response we may not invite all who have volunteered.
