The concrete pipe industry would like to make the following comments regarding the draft of standard drawings: MTOD 926.1031 and MTOD 926.1032

Comments applicable to both drawings:
Joint material – should jointing material be part of this standard drawing since waterproofing details are given?
Is this drawing intended to compliment MTO drawing SS114-4, Precast Rigid Frame Box Culvert?

Note 3 is not very clear, unless it is being misunderstood. Suggest this wording: “If h/2 lies above fill line, then extend waterproofing 600mm below the fill line.”

Is geotextile necessary over waterproofed surfaces of box?

MTOD 926.1031
Why is waterproofing of joints necessary when a distribution slab is required, plus the distribution slab has waterproofing of its own?

“Note 2” labelled in the Front Elevation detail should be “Note 3”.

Why are connector plates across joints necessary on top slab when distribution slab is used? Consider to only keep those on the box side walls.

MTOD 926.1032
Correct spelling for word “aaround” in Note 4.
