This is a great idea. It's impossible to pass (without passing lane) through the entire Temagami corridor, so cars race at 120-130 to pass as many slow vehicles as possible through the passing lanes, which are far too sparse. You get stuck behind slow trucks that can't get up the hills >80km/h, so people get impatient and take too many risks.
I like the barrier idea too.
This should be implemented on all the northern 2 lane highways, but Temagami is definitely one of the worse areas I've encountered.
