CDED:
- 741.7.1 Design: Add note to the designer to consider having restrained barrier in early stages of the construction so that pavement sections can be rehabbed in later stages. For example, restrained barrier should be installed on bridge decks in stage 1, not stage 4 where the anchor cannot be removed from the deck and the waterproofing system is compromised. Contractors sometimes leave the anchors in the asphalt binder, and this can cause issues for future resurfacing.
OPSS:
- 741.02: MTO Form section is included twice.
- 741.05.01.01: How do we verify if the concrete TCB material meets OPSS 1350 requirements? The TCBs are prefabricated and mass production.
- 741.05.01.03 & 741.05.04: Are the marking requirements the same as industry standard? Does this capture all manufacturer’s practices?
- 741.05.03 Why is there a section on delineators between two sections on temporary barrier?
- Is there any consideration to create a DSM list for the TCB instead of including tables in the spec?
CAIS
- Missing admin/inspection activities for sections 741.04.01 and 741.05.01.
