In SS109-42, the strands protruding 700 mm prevent panels from being placed adjacent each other. (Bending and straightening of the strand is hard and time-consuming during construction) What is the purpose of having 700 mm overlap? Negative moment governs the design at the end of each panel then positive reinforcement is not necessary to be overlapped. Is it possible to reduce the splice length to about 100 mm and install a continuous rebar over the precast deck panel on entire width of the bridge?

Please show a detail that include reinforcement of the deck to clarify if only one layer is required on top of deck or two layers on the top and bottom of the C.I.P. deck? If the bottom reinforcement is required, how much clear cover is necessary between the reinforcement and top of the partial deck panel?

In SS109-42, the thickness of bearing is limited between 50 and 75 mm. The thickness of haunch should be variable along the girder to adjust for camber of girder. Is it acceptable to have bearing with thickness outside of this limit?

Thank you!
